An update of my personal website’s earnings after three months

Last June 2018, I decided to purchase my own website, pinayteenvestor.com through Bluehost as my hosting site.

Establishing and structuring my site made me preoccupied these past few months. If you’re wondering how much it would cost to run your own website, well, it costs at least $30 per year.

In my case, I just purchased the most advanced plan since it has better features than the cheaper ones. All in all, I paid $240 or 12,000 Pesos for my site which is already good for three years.

I know it is quite costly but I consider this as an investment for passive and long-term earnings through ads and affiliates. The very reason why I opted to have my own website can be found in my previous article:

In this post, I would just like to share the earnings I accumulated these past three months through my personal website. But before showing the figures, let me first share the overall site’s stats since its creation.

Overall, I accumulated a total of 3,707 article views since my site’s launch. Personally, I really find it fulfilling knowing that my finance articles have reached a wider number of audience. This has been my goal from the start as a great advocate of financial literacy.

Now, let’s talk about figures.

Currently, I am earning through Google Adsense and Affiliate Marketing from pinayteenvestor.com.

Here’s my earnings from Google Adsense:

You did not see that coming, did you? I know, I know. It is quite small compared to the investment I made for putting up the site. But come to think of it. I literally did nothing to earn this amount.

Google Adsense will just pay me for every click I receive from the ads being shown on my website.

Even if I’m sleeping, traveling, or even watching my favorite series, I will still earn passively through ads. And once my website’s traffic will grow bigger, there is a great possibility that my earnings through ads will also increase.

Here’s my earnings from Affiliate Marketing:

Affiliate Marketing or endorsing products is one of the greatest ways to earn when you are having your own site. Overall, I earned a total of 6,800 Pesos or $136 from endorsing products and services and eventually landing into successful referrals.

At the moment, I am very overwhelmed with how my site turned out knowing I have spread financial awareness while earning at the same time. I still have a long way to go and I hope I can upkeep the momentum of running this website.
