How to Pay Citibank Credit Card via BDO in Two Ways

I am a Citibank credit card user and I usually pay my Citi bill in BDO. So how do you pay Citibank credit card via BDO? There are two ways actually. First is through BDO’s Cash Accept Machine. Second is through BDO online.

How to pay Citibank credit card thru BDO cash machine

  1. Select Pay Bills/Payments

  2. Choose Citibank Credit Card as your biller/payee

  3. Select your card type (VISA or Mastercard)

  4. Enter your credit card number

  5. Enter your amount to be paid

Things to keep in mind

  • You don’t have to bring your Citibank credit card when paying for your bill. Just take note of your 16-digit credit card number. You can phonebook it or write it on a piece of paper. So even if you don’t have the time to pay it yourself, you can just ask other people to do it on your behalf.

  • Double check your credit card number after inputting it to the BDO cash machine. You will not be asked to input your account name so one mistake in your CC number would certainly cause problems. But just in case, just contact BDO immediately to correct the errors.

  • Keep your receipt. It usually takes two to three banking days to have your payment posted on your Citibank app. So keep your receipt with you as a proof just in case your payment hasn’t been posted. Or better yet, just take a snap of your receipt since the thermal paper wears off easily.

  • You don’t need a BDO account for this method. Even if you’re not a BDO user, you can still pay your citibank credit card bill via BDO cash machine.

On the other hand, here’s how you can pay your Citibank credit card bill through BDO online.

But before anything else, you have to enroll CITIBANK as a biller. You can do this both on the BDO mobile banking app and on the BDO online website. Don’t worry, the process is easy as follows.

How to enroll Citibank credit card in BDO as a biller

  1. Login to your BDO online banking (mobile or web)

  2. Go to Enrollment Services

  3. Select Company/Biller

  4. Search for CITIBANK

  5. Select VISA or Mastercard under the product type

  6. Enter your 16-digit Citi Card Number on the Subscriber’s Number

  7. Enter your name on the Subscriber’s Name

After finishing your biller enrollment, you can now pay your Citi CC bill through BDO’s mobile app or website.

How can I pay my Citibank credit card bill in BDO online?

  1. On your dashboard, select Pay Bills

  2. Click Pay this company/biller

  3. Select your enrolled Citi credit card

  4. Enter the amount

  5. Confirm your transaction

After this, it will take two to three banking days to have your payment posted on the Citi app. I tried the two methods but I really find the online payment more convenient (of course). Aside from that, this method is better compared to the BDO cash ATM method following reasons:

  • You don’t have to input your 16-digit CC card number all the time so there’s no chance of making fat finger mistakes.

  • You can pay the exact amount of your CC bill down to the last cents.

  • You can see your payment transaction online.

Hi Sheila. I’m planning on getting a Citibank Credit Card soon and use BDO online for my future settlements. Does BDO charge fees for such? Thanks in advance. Your blogs are super helpful.

Hi Mariel! Nope, BDO won’t charge anything for settling Citi’s bill payments. Glad to know my blogs helped you somehow 🙂 More power!

This is very helpful! Thanks for this. I have a question, though. How much is the charge if you will pay your Citi credit card via machine and online?

Thank you again and take care.

Hi Grace! You need to spell out your name as a subscriber name. In this case, it should be Joanna Mae Dela Cruz. Hope this helps!
