How to Earn an Extra Income Without Leaving Your Day Job

Are you tired of working eight hours a day (sometimes extended during offer time) just to receive a salary that is not enough for you and your family’s needs?

Perhaps, you are already living from paycheck to paycheck which prohibits you from setting aside some of your money for savings. This very reason makes you crave for a salary increase or for 13th up to nth bonuses all the time.

Well, you have two options in order to at least increase your current income: (A) quit your job and find a higher paying one (B) Earn from side hustles without quitting your current job.

But let me just focus on the second option. I just picked what I think the best income opportunities you can do without leaving your day job.

This is something I really recommend for full-time workers. As we all know, cellular load has become a necessity for most of us. Compared to other commodities, this is something that does not spoil and is not hard to market.

Currently, I am using Coins.ph, a Philippine-based digital wallet for my loading business. This wallet gives 10% rebates for every load transaction, so it would really give you great proceeds considering the top up charges per load transaction that you have to add.

Now, this is something that really requires physical efforts. You can try bringing products (food and apparel) to your workplace and sell it to your fellow workers. Just be careful not to be caught by your superiors Oops!

You can also venture into having your own online shop through marketing your products in social media accounts like Facebook and Instagram. You can just do physical trade-offs after work or during weekends.

You can also accept pre-orders or made-to-order products. This can be anything including food and non-food items that you can make during your time away from work.

Popular real estate companies such as Avida, DMCI, and Camella Homes lets you earn from giving referrals. Real estate might be hard to market, but you will surely hit bigtime if you will be able to refer sure buyers.

You can do real estate promotions to your workmates, friends, families, and even to your friends online!

You can also venture into monetizing your skills and services through doing tutorials for elementary and high school students. If you think you have the capacity to engage in academic tutorials and you have a bag of patience reserved within your system, then go for it.

If you are fond of writing and creating contents within your niche, then you should consider monetizing that skill through blogging. By creating your own website, you can earn from showing ads through Google Ad Sense.

However, setting up your own website can also be costly. Still, there are some platforms that don’t require any investment for capitalizing your write-ups just like Steemit.com

Steemit.com is a blockchain-based blogging platform which rewards its users in form of digital currencies. I’ve been writing in such platform since October 2017 and I can say the rewards are very decent knowing I did not pay for anything, unlike the traditional blogging sites.

You can also try online freelancing jobs in popular sites like Essays.ph, 199Jobs.com, and Upwork.com. Compensation may vary depending on your expertise and the skills required (ie writing, coding, & graphic designing).

Just like blogging, you are allowed to flex your own time schedule for doing freelancing jobs while still sticking to your current day-job.

The concept of making youtube videos is just like blogging wherein you will be able to show ads and monetize from it. You can do vlogs, make-up tutorials, web tutorials, and even cooking videos and upload it freely on youtube.

However, one of the biggest challenges in vlogging (and blogging) is building a strong amount of followers since site traffic can increase the likelihood of clicking or watching the ads being embedded in your contents.

Earning an extra income may also mean exerting extra efforts and sacrifices. Starting your sidelines may be challenging at first but you just have to start and deal with it if you are determined enough to earn from other sources of income. Otherwise, you will just be in the same financial situation as before.

Furthermore, remember to always put your heart into what you are doing. Who knows, the sideline you just found may be your ticket to finally walk away from your day job, work with time freedom, and earn more than your current salary.

Sure, there are a lot of ways to earn from different rakets, but the question is, are you willing to pay the price?
